For those of you who have never attended this service, our Nine Lessons & Carols service is based on the traditional English service that is composed of nine readings of Scripture and nine times of song, which are all focused on the coming of Christ. Each of these elements are performed by members of Redeemer and are intended to provide an opportunity for our church family to worship together and celebrate the birth of our Savior.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Sold out?? What can I do?
If someone returns a ticket (via Ticketmaster), that ticket opens up and is available for sale again. You can keep an eye on Ticketmaster’s site (via the links above) to see if any availability exists. We encourage you to ask your friends if they bought a block of tickets and have one for you to use. Sometimes people buy tickets for their out-of-town friends that end up not being able to make it. Put the word out that you’re looking and you might be able to snag one that way!
Is childcare available? Do kids need a ticket?
Unlike years past, we are not providing child care this year. Children 2 and under can sit on a ticketholder’s lap for no charge. Children 3 and up need a ticket/seat should you decide to bring them. We encourage you to bring appropriately aged children to the service, or to arrange child care on your own. (The service is approximately 1.5 hours long, with no intermission.)
How long is the service?
The service is approximately 1.5 hours long, with no intermission.
Are there assigned seats?
No, this is a general admission service, and you can sit in any open/available seat. Ushers will be in the theater to assist you.

Street parking is available, or you can park in the deck at the Pizitz Food Hall (2 hours free). The McWane Center deck is open until 10pm and is either $5 or $8 depending on what time you leave.

Why are you charging money for this? As the church strives to faithfully use our financial resources well for the glory of Christ and the support of our ministries within our church, our community and the world, we realize that we need to do everything in our power to offset the costs of this service, which gets more expensive each year as it continues to grow.
Please know that we have made this change in an attempt to be faithful with our resources, but we would never want the cost of a ticket to prevent you and your family from joining us in worship. We would love to provide support and assistance for anyone who finds these changes preventative of your ability to attend. Please reach out to James Kling (james (at) rccbirmingham.org) with any questions.
