February 22-26

“Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men.”

And immediately they left their nets and followed him.

-Mark 1:7–18

All throughout the Gospels, Jesus calls people to follow him. When he calls his disciples, they drop their nets, leave their tax booth, and follow him. This is the same call that Jesus offers all of us. It doesn’t necessarily offer details, guarantees, or next steps, but it is simple and direct. It requires us to look at the person of Jesus and in faith give all of ourselves to him. It isn’t restricted to a certain area of life or a limited timeframe, but encompasses a giving of our whole selves. In doing so, we find our identity, our purpose, and our joy. When we follow Jesus, we find forgiveness, family, hope, and life.

Jesus says, “follow me”

This Missions Summit, we invite you to consider this call of Jesus. We invite you to look at those in Scripture who heeded that call and to hear the stories of those from our church who have answered it. We will hear compelling stories from our global and local partners and how we can join in the story of redemption God is weaving in the lives of his people. We hope you will join us and be challenged and encouraged to take that next step in following Jesus.
