At Redeemer, a plurality of elders leads the church - both staff elders and lay elders. Within staff elders at Redeemer, there is a group who lead as Senior Pastors.
A shared approach to senior leadership at Redeemer seeks to inhibit our culture's tendency to elevate a pastor beyond biblical expectations. We desire to embody mutual submission and service at every level of leadership, and in particular, our senior leadership.

God designed the church's life to be led by shepherds who feed, know, guide, and protect the flock. They serve as under-shepherds to Christ, who is the church's Head and true pastor. Every elder at Redeemer must meet the biblical qualifications outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, and Acts 20:28.
