Pouring Out Our Adoration to Jesus (Afternoon)
Mark 14:1–11
DISCUSSION QUESTIONS
Is there anything you find particularly encouraging, challenging, confusing, or otherwise noteworthy in the passage?
How would you contrast the woman who anointed Jesus with the Pharisees in 14:1-2 or with Judas in 14:10-11?
Joel mentioned that it’s possible that the reason Judas betrayed Jesus was his disappointment with Jesus compared to his expectations. How can you resonate with the Christian life looking differently than you expected or even disappointing you?
How does the woman in Mark 14:3-9, give us an example of what our worship of Jesus should look like?
Joel also said, “how we worship reflects what we see to be the value of the thing we worship.” What does your worship reflect about how much you value Jesus? About how much you value things of the world?
What are some things that might lead you to more fully see and grasp the infinite
value of Jesus?
