  1. What in particular most stuck out to you in the Scripture or from our last year and a half studying Mark?

  2. In what ways has your understanding of King Jesus and his reign/kingdom deepened through studying Mark?

  3. Where are you finding it most challenging to surrender your life to Jesus? Why?

  4. What fears or anxieties do you have about more fully surrendering your life to Jesus?

  5. How might surrendering to Jesus give us greater freedom(if helpful perhaps look at Galatians 5:1 and 5:13)?

  6. Joel mentioned that “we do not only need to repent of sins, we repent and turn away from everything other than Christ in which we put our hope or trust.” In what ways is God calling you to repent right now?

  7. What are some ways that the good news (not just good advice) of the gospel is better than anything else in which you’re tempted to put your hope?
