  2. Why is it impossible to separate the commands to love God and love our neighbor from one another?

  3. How is the command to “love the Lord, your God” more significant and different than if the call were just simply “love God?”

  4. Do you struggle most to love with empathy, to love with truth, or to love with action? Why?

  5. What are some practical ways you hope to grow in loving your neighbor this week? It may be helpful to read Leviticus 19:9-18 to help you consider some practicals.

  6. What do you think the difference is between being close to the kingdom of God (v. 34) and being in the kingdom of God?
