THE WÜRST IS YET TO COME
One of the best nights of the year is back!
We hope everyone will join us for a night of fellowship, sausage, and fun on October 27.
This October 27 marks our 16-Annual Best Würst Fest at Redeemer!
If you haven't joined us in the past, you might be wondering what the big deal is. It's just a fall festival, right?
Well… yeah, it is. To be honest, we still don't exactly know what gives this event its special sauce. The ingredients for a proper BWF are simple: we grill over 500 pounds of sausage, we eat together, and we fellowship in the fall weather.
But, year after year, when all those elements come together, it's magic. When the Conecuh has that perfectly crispy outer skin, when the fall breeze cuts up the trail, when the laughter and conversation flows easily, when the kids chase each other through the crowd… it's like a little link of heaven on this side of eternity.
So, yeah, it's just like a fall festival. But to us, it's more than that.
It's Best Würst Fest.
Everyone is welcome - both members and non-members of Redeemer! This is a great opportunity to welcome family, friends, co-workers, acquaintances, or even that random guy you met at the grocery store to our church.

This year’s Best Würst Fest will be in exactly the same spot as last year. For those that don’t remember, it’s along the Hugh Kaul Trail behind Christian Service Mission, Lee Rogers Tire, and the former Ghost Train Brewing Company.
Check out our parking section below for more details on the best way to get there.
If you’re wondering where you should park, here are the best options.
-
Ghost Train recently closed, but we have access to the large parking lot in front of their old building. We recommend entering from 1st Ave South or via the connector on 34th Street South.
-
Christian Service Mission has generously offered their front parking lot to our church family for Best Würst Fest.
Once you park, you’ll be able to walk through the inside of their facility to the courtyard where Best Würst Fest is being hosted.
-
Lee Rogers Tire is generously allowing our church family to park in their front lot.
Once you park, follow the signs around the west side of their building for easy access to the courtyard where Best Würst Fest is being hosted.
-
The beautiful Hugh Kaul Trail runs directly to the courtyard where Best Würst Fest is being held. You can easily access it from the east behind Avondale’s main street.
Alternatively, you can park on 2nd Ave South on the west side closer to Pepper Place and walk the Rotary Trail from that direction.

The weather is looking wonderful, and it could be a great opportunity for a stroll from Redeemer’s parking lot. It’s about a 15 minute walk, which is the perfect opportunity to work off some of that Conecuh sausage.
If this is your first Best Würst Fest, we’re excited to welcome you! We’ll have some First Würst pins at the entry, and we encourage you to grab one so that others can welcome you.
Children are absolutely welcome! We'll have inflatables, activities, and a table full of food specifically for them. It's also peak season for costumes, and we'd love to see them!
Ghost Train’s closure definitely threw us for a loop, but we’ve found a vendor who will be on-site serving a selection of local beers.
Tickets for beer will be sold at the event for $6. Cards will be the only form of payment accepted, and IDs will be checked by the vendor, so please make sure to bring yours.
Due to our event’s license, no outside alcohol is permitted. As always, please drink responsibly.
We will also have free water bottles available for all of our attendees.
It takes a lot to put on Best Würst Fest each year, both in volunteer hours and funding. If you’d like to donate to cover some of the cost, it would be greatly appreciated.
Have any additional questions? Want to talk about this year’s sausage selection? Are you an heir to the Conecuh sausage throne and you want to be a guest of honor?
