Theological Lecture: Thinking Christianly About Politics
In a politically tumultuous season, the people of God need to find our bearings. There are so many opinions, so many articles shared on the internet, so many contentious issues and a profound breakdown of basic civility and decency. Things are not good. As Christians, we believe that all of life is to be understood through the lens of our faith. But how do we assess what we are seeing? How do we think critically about the issues our day? How do we proceed in these matters? How do we seek to love neighbor, prioritize the common good? How do we seek to see Christian participation shape the public square? Join us as Planting Pastor Joel Busby shares a basic biblical and theological framework for thinking about faith and politics. Busby will share three basic concepts, drawn from the history of Christian reflection, that we hope become a way to think through what we are seeing.
