Friction & Forgiveness (Afternoon)
Matthew 18:15-35
DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
First, read through the "one another" commands in the New Testament. (Note that it takes about ten minutes to do this - feel free to skip Scriptures that repeat the same command/are in the same section.)
What most stands out most to you in the list of "one another" commands?
Which of the "one another" commands do you find hardest to live out? Are any lacking in your life?
If Redeemer's members fully lived out these "one another" commands how do you think that would impact our community? Impact Birmingham as a whole?
Second, Read Matthew 18:15-35.
What most stands out most to you in the Scripture and why?
What does this passage teach us about how Christians should respond to conflict and/or others' transgressions?
How does the way you personally approach conflict compare or contrast to answers to the previous question?*
Is there anyone to whom God might be calling you to offer forgiveness or to ask for forgiveness? How could you pursue repentance and reconciliation in these relationships?
