Let Us Run

Hebrews 11:23-12:3

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

  1. What do the examples of those mentioned in Hebrews 11 teach us about what it means to live “by faith?”

  2. Now, read Hebrews 11:33-40. What thoughts or emotions do you have seeing that
some of these faithful men and women received tremendous worldly blessing, but others primarily suffered?

  3. Finally, read Hebrews 12:1-3. Practically speaking, what are some ways the Lord is calling you to “run with endurance [and faith] the race set before you” right now?

  4. Are there any ways you resonate with looking back to past memories of your spirituality rather than moving forward in faith?

  5. What are some of the “weights” in your life that are slowing you down from running the race of faith? How can you lay these aside?

  6. Tonight, do you more need to look to Jesus as your example in the race or as the reward (11:26) that makes the race worth running? Why?
