Seeing Jesus (Afternoon)

Mark 10:46–52

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

  1. In what ways does the account of Jesus healing Bartimaeus give us a picture of what it looks like to see Jesus and follow him?

  2. Read Matthew 5:3. How does Bartimaeus show us what it means to be “poor in spirit?” How does this compare to your own posture before God?

  3. In what ways or areas of your life are you currently seeing your need for Jesus’ mercy?

  4. Where are you currently seeing either fruit or challenges as you try to “follow Jesus on the way” (v.52)?

  5. Reread Mark 10:51. If tonight Jesus were to ask you directly the question, “what do you want me to do for you,” how might you respond?
