Luke 22:31-34, 39-46, 54-62

Discussion Questions:

  1. What most sticks out to you in this passage and why?

  2. Do you think with any regularity about Satan and his desire to destroy you (John 10:10)? Why or why not?

  3. Are there any ways that we could be better prepared for the ways that Satan would seek to deceive us?

  4. Why do you think Jesus is so adamant in exhorting the disciples to pray that they "may not enter into temptation" (Luke 22:40, 46)?

  5. Can you think of a time in which the your sin was exposed like Peter's was in this account? How did that affect you?

  6. In his sermon, Matt mentioned that most of us follow one of three patterns when we are caught in sin: we distract ourselves, deflect responsibility for our sin, or deny the depth of our sin. Which of these temptations do you most easily fall into? Why do you think that is?

  7. How do you think Jesus looked at Peter in Luke 22:61? How do you think the Lord looks at you when you sin?
